How I Create Content
The first thing I do AFTER doing a little keyword research is to open (Windows) a Note pad session.
Then, I got into my version of a "Mad Minute."
What is a Mad Minute?
Wikipedia defines a Mad Minute as:
"The Mad Minute was a pre-World War I bolt-action rifle speed shooting exercise used by British Army riflemen, using the Lee–Enfield service rifle."
To my mind and in the context of content creation, I will go a certain amount of time doing nothing but writing based on a few keyword in a app that doesn't tell me how much my writing sucks as I lay it down.
I came across this technique who knows where.
The thought is if you just write and not care about grammatical or syntax errors, your soul will spill out onto a blank canvas.
My mad minute is tied to music. As long as the music plays, I will write. Then, I will let the words I laid down sit like pizza dough.
I'll let it sit as long as it I have to and come back to it later. I'll tweak it and run it through an app like Gamely and then MS Word.
As I'm a Sci-Fi man, my primary writing bust is done to Battle Star Galactica, Assault on The Colony. This is about 15 minutes of mad writing.
When I want to flesh it out, I write with Michael Kamen's, The New Moon in the Old Moon's Arms
As as old brass player, my inspiration really kicks in at 32:43.
