I have problems with my theme. I go Site Manager...Login(x2)...Appearance...Themes, and only 6 appear! Don't like any of them. Why not the over 2,000 available?

I try a different way. I go Site Manager...Login(x2)...Dashboard...Click on "or change your theme completely" (screen clears and in small print at top left corner) "BAD REQUEST" !!?

Any nice expert please help me?

JeanLouis87.....but my real name is John.

You can look for it by googling "best Wordpress theme for.... niche". Download the theme then try using it .

Here is a link to some training which might help:

Ey there John,

Ditto JamesJB plus...

After clicking on "Add New", click on "Feature Filter"...
Click on a few options ya' want in your new theme and then click on "Apply Filters" and it normally will give you a bunch of themes to choose from!

Hope this helps!

Randy

Hi James, You want to make sure that when you do changes to your main theme, you do it on a child theme if not you will lose all the changes you made.

That means you will have two themes install and activated.

Hi John,
Here's a picture! Hope it helps!
Yes, the "Change Theme Completely" has never worked for me either. Don't know why.
Peace to you!

Thank you, James. Will do. Will it also tell me how to dump my present theme, or just add one I choose as a second theme?
Which would just multiply my problem

The theme you pick will overwrite your present one. Before you change your theme, make a backup, as otherwise, should something go South, you can always fall back to your original site. If you don't, then you could lose all the work you've done on it so far. If your present theme is still virgin, meaning you haven't started uploading posts and pages, then you'll have nothing to lose.

Marion Black has a training about using a plugin to make backups, should you need to.

You have to go over where it says New Theme. Once there, you can choose from various categories, like : Popular etc. Next to each category, you'll see a number...this is the number of available themes to choose from
