Password problem

Has anyone had this problem?

I go to SiteRubix Content to make minor spacing changes in one of my posts.

Then I click on "Publish Edit" the screen changes to a blank then a box appears with my password selected, and shaking from side to side. I re-enter my password (YES, correctly) and it shakes again, still refusing it and I can do it 3 or 4 times. Never lets me in.

Help please,
Is the password assigned to my Admin the same exactly as the password assigned on my Site-manage??

It should be unless you have added a new user, then that user's password would be different.

I have not added a new user, and have no intention of doing so.
I tried Site-support about this and they needed to see the snip I had made of the actual refusal "box"...which I just sent to them.
I even suggested they go through the exact process I go through
leading to the password refusal. I still am forced to write posts in wordpress or (more recently) to type them onto laptop documents for later copying onto Site-content and thence to my site. The problem with that is that I have to guess the eventual line width that is maximum for Site-Content and when I get it wrong I end up on Site-Content with ....
Line full
One word (too many)=left over
line again
one or two words left over
etc
etcetcetcetcetcetc
etcetc
etcetcetcetcetcettc Horrible!... and takes hours to correct !!

This has been going on for a month. No wonder I am still barely half way through the first part of the training....after 3 months!!

Thank you for your help, Armlemt

No problem! I'm sorry that you are having these issues. I hope that Support can get it figured out soon.

Hey Jean Louis!

Are you on a slow internet connection? This tends to happen to me when my connection is slow.

I think it flags auto spam security features when it detects the slow connection. That's my theory so don't quote me on it. The shakiness happens sometimes when things are going normally too.

You just have to wait until the connection is stable again and it usually works then. I know sometimes it can take a while and is really inconvenient.

Hope this helps :)

The wobbling is side to side to draw my attention. I have seen it used before. I just tried again AND sent a second message to the help department.

Thanks for your response, Marlinda
The shaking side to side is not instability,,,,,I've met it before, and you're going to love this...it is the refusal text shaking its head from did to side, as humans do when they are conveying or saying "NO" emphatically. By my continuing to try what it doesn't like, it will shake its head again each time. Cute....and very frustrating!!

Ob boy, never had that before. Would not know what to do other the ask Site Support ! I know this does not help, but these things happen...one of my PC' just gave up today..for no reason. Old age? Not sure...Tom

I did TRY site-support...they came right back with a confirmation of my question plus advice that they have responded and please click to get it...I did, and it brought me back to site-support...with NO RESPONSE. so I sent another explaining this and telling them I had even clicked on every button, to no avail. and they immediately replied sending me back to site-support with NO RESPONSE...damned vicious circle!!??? Any ideas?

(Kyle is far too busy for crap like this!)

I know there was a new update for Word Press today. Perhaps you tried to log in while this was still being applied to your site. Can you still login from the SiteManager?

No, I cannot. I did a question to support (never was given any ticket number ???) Any more good ideas would be welcome please.

I've never been given a ticket number. Have you tried changing tthe password to see if that helps?

Yes, I used the place on site Content to be given a new highly complicated new password. Used it accurately. Same wobble and refusal. Someone posted a way to access WP and stop this from happening. I tried it but could not find something it told us to use.
So for now I will forget trying to add more minor improvements. and take more time writing posts in a "final" way.

By the way, WP 4.9 didn't last long. Now it is WP 4.9.1 already!
Thanks for trying to help.

You're welcome. Keep trying with Support. They were probably inundated with issues today because of the updates.

I will try. Thanks for all your efforts to help

You're welcome!

I too have problems with my password will try it again now, and if those problems still accure I will add a ticket
Maybe that's the best option to get a solution

HiHope10 further to yours of 2 months ago, just above, did you have any more password refusal after clicking Publish in Site-Content? How did you solve the problem, if you have? Mine seemed solved but recently started all over again!
John

Bring it to Site Support.

ooh - that is a new update - ok, well it's working for me, got straight to my site

Just tried again. Same as before. wobble and refusal of my password. It is driving me crazy.

I wasn't asked for a password...when I pressed that green button to edit on the top right it just went straight to the site

yes, sitesupport!

Exactly as it is supposed to work!
