What should a good business model for a website look like?
Sorry my question could not be asked in full on top as we are only allowed a certain amount of characters. The way I set my question could be wrong as well but my question is what should I concentrate on? How does a good online website business model look like? What is the overall idea I should be looking for to be successful? From research I concluded that the most successful people around on the web concentrate on recurring products or services or to develop and sell their own product. So what does this mean for the rest of us? My niche is about traveling in Thailand. I can develop or start a traveling company correct? IF I HAD THE CAPITAL! How is possible to start a recurring product or service.

If you want to be successful, I would start going through all the training. There is no winning recipe unfortunately. But what works is great content.
WA concentrates on affiliate marketing. Again by going through the course you will understand what it is and all the work that goes in to create a successful affiliate site.
All this can be applied to other business sites.

I also have a travel site for The Georgia Coast. What Iam doing is adding affiliate links/banners anything related to travel and what a person may want or need. I also use Travelpayouts where a person can book flights and hotels and you earn a commission. They have some great tools such as a hotel map. They have a WP plugin. Also you can promote vacation rentals such as with Flipkey. Best of luck and hope this helps

Also Iam planning to become a certified travel agent so you really don't need capital to work from home as a travel agent.
Thanks for the great advice Mr.Kmarcblanks.I will go and have a look and rethink my strategy as what I have to do. My ultimate goal is to try and find a balance between recurring and once off commissions. I know there is not such a thing but I would like to get close, though.
What I meant was to create my own product. What you are doing is to create a service which is exactly what I am looking in too.
I have been also searching for something that will create recuring income. One idea is getting pepple to list their vacation homes for rent through VRBO, Flipkey, homeaway are some companies
