1 month in and I made $1
I made $1! Woohoo! Now that may not sound amazing as $100 or $1000. But that $1 proves that this WA training works. This gal who didn't like online training or even online shopping for that matter, started an online business just last month.
As a Special Education teacher who had to resort to distance learning due to the COVID-19 pandemic, I longed to see and teach my students face to face. It was bittersweet to see them at their drive thru promotions and not be able to give them a hug or a high five in surviving this school year.
As a soccer mom, I terribly missed my kids going to their weekly soccer practices and the Saturday soccer games. I will never complain again about preparing team snacks and sitting for hours in the hot sun.
For months, I had to resort to online shopping to get our necessities and satisfy some of our wants. Yes, the kids needed toys and I needed new clothes to stay sane while staying at home during this time.
A close friend of ours introduced us to Wealthy Affiliate during one of our Zoom family date night chats. We always wanted a way to share our story and took that step to blogging. We never thought we would share our life story because for many years we didn't have the courage to.
If it wasn't for the coronavirus stay at home orders, we probably wouldn't have started our website. But here we are and there's no turning back.
That $1 represents so many invaluable things. For this non techie, I learned how to create a website and that was huge! I learned that I love to write - writing from the heart has been extremely therapeutic. And most importantly, it has given me a renewed sense of purpose - that I love helping others.
So that $1 means a lot to me. It was a lot of hard work of learning and creating in a month's time. To being open to new ideas and accepting constructive feedback. To interacting with readers by responding to their comments. To learning something new everyday.
But don't get me wrong, there were times I wanted to just give up. I had to reread articles or rewatch videos many times I couldn't comprehend completely. Or when my rank decreased (went up) after making steady progress, that was a huge bummer. Honestly that was my motivation. But the WA community was always supportive if I had a question.
I believe that $1 will multiply with continued effort and perseverance. This is only the beginning to many more opportunities. Cheers to more learning and creating!

Yes, 3 to 6 months is what I heard. So don't stop!
I use Amazon affiliate marketing program. Much success to you!
I've got Amazon affiliate, too. Haven't wanted to use them too much because I wanted to spread the love around :-) but will reconsider using a few more of their links.
Another question: do you know if it was through a link or banner ad that you got the click and purchase?

Congratulations and well done on making your first dollar online, you've proved for yourself that it can be done and that you can do it! Nobody can ever tell you that this doesn't work or that you never made a single cent yourself now.
Continuous, persistent and consistent work will get you to a dollar every day and then 5 and then 10....even just 10 dollars a day is an extra 300 dollars a month, for most people that can make or break their budget!
