Inviting Site Feedback

Hey Everyone,

I just wanted to share my almost done site with you and invite feedback. I didn't use the Site Feedback thing because I wanted to add some comments along with the post. All the major things are in place, affiliate links (at least I hope they are) and SEO, which was the main things I needed to get going. Tomorrow, I hope to get all the responsive done. Visually, I didn't go overboard. This is a different kind of site than what I'm used to doing, i.e., it's meant to make money. Under Dog Accessories, I meant to have links there from PetSmart to offer their grooming, boarding, and training services, but, I can't find any affiliate links for those services. I emailed LinkShare Support, but no word yet. http://loveapup.com

Other questions about affiliate links:

1. Click the link for Barkbox (under Dog Treats and Dog Toys). About every third time I click this, it gives me a popup and then redirects to the home page, NOT the intended page where they start the process (and it is a process) of ordering what they want. I sent them to the most logical place where to begin the process, and I assume it'll end in a commission for me. BUT, because it might not be the INTENDED URL where they actually order, I don't know if I'll get a commission or not...thoughts?

2. Would anyone happen to know about the PetSmart issue for grooming, boarding, and training I asked about above?

As time goes by, I'll have more plugins & such, and continue to work on the design. And, continue with the instruction here on WA.

Thank you,

John Dove

Hi, I love your site - it is so cute. Since you asked for feedback, I just want to point out thing is that you have one post that is uncategorized (in the side menu) - https://loveapup.com/the-kindest-thing-i-can-think-of. This is an easy fix. I have done a training video for you on how to do that. . Hope this helps.

I will take a look, you have to remove the last sentence of this blog about inviting site feedback though, that is not allowed

You mean the invitation to use my site for dog purchases?

I took that last line out.

Yes, I have taken a look at your website, and it's a riddle to me what exactly your question is.
Your website is in perfect shape, and the link for barkbox isn't under the treats and toys.
Can you be more explicit?

Yes it is. Products > Dog Treats. It's the first one. Click on that link and you'll begin the buying process that I described above.

There doesn't appear an affiliate link in the browser, not even for a second

I am not sure this is right

Loes, The links you provided are the first 2 links in the BB buying process (Step 1, Step 2....) Since the URL changes with each click, I kind of doubt that I'm gonna get paid, but it IS a process and it's impossible to know what they're gonna end up with. BarkBox is through the VigLink Affiliate Network. They provided some .js code for me to add to my footer, which I have. Not sure with this that you would see an affiliate link...how can you tell??

I REALLY want BarkBox on my site. It's very popular.

An affiliate link always contains a question mark followed with a=
I saw they have a chat function on the site, I would contact them and ask their opinion

Thank you! I'll do that.

Thanks for sharing
