How I'm Upping My YouTube Game with Zero Time, 3 Channels, and a Dash of AI
I’m gonna be honest here — since I got back to Canadian soil in April, I’ve made maybe… 6 YouTube videos.
Across three channels.
Yeah, you read that right. That’s like trying to run a three-lane highway with one gas can, a duct-taped tire, and a squirrel named Motivation in the driver's seat.
But here’s the thing: I’m not giving up on this.
I’m getting smarter about it.
🧭 The Current Reality: The Time Crunch is Real
Between:
- Operating parks,
- Affiliate sites,
- Managing content calendars,
- Fixing water systems,
- And raising a crew that also edits videos (shoutout to my daughter over at ArceeAnimation.com)…
Let’s just say my “upload schedule” lately is more “whenever the stars align and the mosquitoes aren’t biting.”
But I’ve noticed something in the chaos:
The details matter, but the system matters more.
When Skylar helps edit, she nails animation and visuals — but the vision and timing still needs refining. That’s on me.
And that’s why I’ve got a new plan.
🔁 The Plan: Batch & Automate
My new system (starting this week):
1️⃣ One Dedicated Day for Scripts & Voice Recording
This is my writing day. I bulk script across all three channels:
- 🎒 Everything RVs and More
- 🌿 Everything Nature and More
- 🧠 Nomad Ninja
I sit down with tea in hand, noise-canceling on, and hammer out 3–5 scripts. Then record all the voiceovers in one go.
2️⃣ The Next Day for Editing or AI Workflow
This is where I used to go into CapCut.
But since finding out they’re repurposing uploaded content for their own entertainment… I pulled the plug. Bye, subscription. ✌️
Now I’m exploring tools that can take my recorded voice and basically build the video around it — no editing software, no manual drag-and-drop. Just plug and play.
🤖 The AI Tools I'm Exploring (and You Should Too)
I’m looking into tools that can help me (and maybe you) reclaim creative time without giving up control. Here’s what I’ve got my eye on:
🔹 Pictory.aiUpload a script or audio — it matches stock visuals and creates a video automatically. Great for listicles or info-based YouTube content.
🔹 Lumen5Script-to-video tool with decent text overlays and branding control. Good for blog-to-video conversion too.
🔹 Synthesia.ioWant an AI “talking head” to read your script in your voice? If you can clone your voice, this tool will do it with avatars or B-roll.
🔹 HeyGen (formerly Movio)Similar to Synthesia, but a bit more casual. Still requires script input but solid for turning VO into presentations or explainer vids.
🔹 DescriptYou can clone your voice and edit the voiceover like a doc. It can help cut out filler words, generate visuals, and even do voice correction.
💡 I’m still testing, but I’ll report back in a future post on which one actually fits my chaotic workflow.
💬 Why I’m Sharing This With You (WA Fam)
Because most of us are solopreneurs wearing a thousand hats, and if you’re running even one channel, you know how brutal content creation can be.
So instead of quitting, I’m evolving.
If I can produce even 1 video per week per channel with this system — that’s 12 videos a month.
That’s content. That’s growth. That’s leverage.
🛠️ My Advice If You’re In the Same Boat:
- Don’t aim for perfection — aim for progress.
- Script in batches, record when the house is quiet.
- Use your voice. If people trust your writing, they’ll trust your voiceover too.
- Let AI carry the visuals while you steer the story.
- And if you’re paying for a tool that doesn’t align with your values? Ditch it. There are free or fair alternatives out there.
🧩 Final Thought: The Creator Road Is Long… Bring Snacks
So yeah — I’m not some full-time YouTuber with a team and an editing bay. I’m a dad, park operator, affiliate hustler, and creator. And I’ve got three channels, zero free time, and one stubborn vision.
And AI?
Well, if it can cut my editing time in half while still keeping my storytelling voice intact — then you bet I’ll let it ride shotgun.
Let me know — are you using any of these tools? Got another recommendation I should test drive?
Drop it below. I’ll take all the shortcuts that don’t compromise the journey.

I seriously need to start learning what half of this means and does, my video so far has been a Canva Intro and Outro, Slideshare style video or just me on camera, and done. I know I can do allot better with some training I just haven't made the time. What I do know is we can all use a squirrel named Motivation to take the wheel at times
Hello,
Thanks for sharing! The AI tools will be something to explore. I've started looking for ways to help with workflows to stay organized, focused and on schedule.
Jeremy, this is exactly the kind of honest behind-the-scenes post I needed. I’ve also been looking at Descript and ElevenLabs for my own workflow, really curious if they’ll save as much time as they claim, especially when it comes to keeping that “human” touch in the final video.
Totally agree with your advice on batching scripts and letting AI handle the heavy lifting on visuals, so you can focus on the storytelling. That system is looking better and better the more hats you’re wearing. Also, love your point about ditching tools that don’t align with your values, hard lesson learned!
One thing I wonder: How do you keep each channel’s voice feeling distinct when you’re scripting in bulk? And have you found any quirks or surprises in the AI tools you’ve tried so far?
Thanks for sharing your process, it’s motivating to see you making progress without aiming for perfection. Looking forward to hearing which tool ends up fitting best!
Sonia
Sonia,
The only thing i've found is I stay consistent with my voice through all the channels. It's how I present it in each channel. I did look into Descript last night. Still not sure about it. I do realize now I've had Lumen 5 before. IT's OK, but not ME! I'll figure it out eventually.
Thanks, Jeremy! That actually makes a lot of sense—consistency in your core voice, but adapting your delivery depending on the channel. It’s reassuring to hear that you don’t force yourself into a totally different persona for each one.
I’m in the same spot with Descript—tempted by the features, but still deciding if it’s worth bringing into the workflow or if it’ll end up being another “not quite me” tool. If you do end up trying it, let me know what you think!
Always good to know I’m not the only one tweaking my tech stack as I go. Appreciate you sharing your honest take.

Just got to read this Jeremy and well done on your progress here. It sounds so like me at the moment - trying to run 3 websites and associated Facebook and Instagram pages to go alongside. I've set up my YouTube channel for one website only at the moment but I'm like you... ploughing ahead with content. I'll let you know how I get on and thanks for the info. I'm going to try out a few you describe. I already use Canva, Lumen 5 and Synesthesia so I'll check out the others too. Things are moving so fast, it's like I'm clinging on to a fast-moving truck whilst I'm on a skateboard!
When you have that time and momentum, keep at it. But beware, it can become tiresome. When that happens, step away for a week. Just take a you week, then go at it again!
Sounds like a plan! Thanks
