Am I being dumb?

The main task that you do when running a blog is to write blog posts. Since I'm not the best writer, I'm working on improving that skill. It seems to me that between good writing and keyword research, things should go over the top.
This process will probably take longer than I would like it, so I am wondering, Am I being dumb and spinning my wheels on getting the writing down? My gut tells me no, hang in there, that is the thing to do but what if it's not.

For what it's worth, my "specialty" is writing and it is the niche I am most focused on. As Mel noted, you will get better as you write more. In the meantime, just look over my WA blog.
