You don't absolutely need to be on Facebook but, it does have a huge following and can be a valuable tool. Others that have similar draw are Google Plus ( G+) and Pinterest. There are hundreds of other smaller social networking sites.

Used correctly Facebook can be helpful but only if you have a following, perhaps a Facebook Fan page is your way to use that tool more effectively, Jay has done a couple of WAbbys (WA webinars) that will walk you through creating one to promote your niche.

It would be great to make 1000. month but try to be realistic. You may not make that in the time you have mentioned. It is doable but not usually with your first or second site until you understand how to promote and drive traffic.

It is good to plan for it though, who knows you may just find you have the touch.

Very good. You have a starting plan and some goals in place. I would suggest that you get a loose leaf notebook with some dividers. As you get into the training there will be some things that you will want to refer back to but have forgotten the details. Notes and files on the computer are what some people use but I like having something that I can just flip through. You just can't beat note taking.

I like! I just came on a little while ago too, so I don't know how much I could help you but i think your goals are great! I don't think facebook is a neccessity although it is definitely a good thing to put a "like us on facebook" on your sites... marketing you know. Good luck!
