Hi everyone, I wanted to offer some experience and encouragement to you if you are just starting out here at WA. I am also just starting out with you but I have a unique experience to share with you. I remembered this about 1 week after I became a premium member not to long ago.

About 8 years ago I was searching for a way to make money online, I had a full time job but keeping up with the Jones's was pretty hard and my wife (at the time) and I were struggling to get by. We had very little extra money to spare because the Jones's had nice things and those nice things came with a monthly payment.....I wished I could find a way to make some extra money. HERE'S THE KICKER! I came across Wealthy Affiliate 8 years ago and joined as a free member. My x-wifey was not to happy about the $49.99 monthly fee and after much argument I relented to her reasoning.

Boy am I kicking myself now....If I would have joined 8 years ago, Imagine where I would be now. Instead I am just starting out like you, and I'm just as broke as I was then, and divorced!

This should be something you make a part of your life for the long run, that will pay off dividends later. We all spend 50 bucks a month on something that is not going to give us anything in return. The smart thing to do is spend it on something like this and improve yourself. Don't let others negativity get in your head!

Best of Luck,

JC Butler

God's timing is perfect!

Wow this is some story JC. I can just imagine how you may feel.
This is very inspirational!

I'm glad you've found yourself back to WA though. 8 years is a long time, but nothing happens before its time. So from here on, keep pushing, keep positive and never give up.

I wish you luck JC and you've got great support here on WA, if you get stuck on your journey.

I agree, I'm pretty sure it would have been a bad thing if I had achieved more success back then. Everything really does happen for a reason ;)

You're right, education does cost.

" We all spend 50 bucks a month on something that is not going to give us anything in return" is a good way of looking at the price. I know that I was hesitant about spending $50 on the premium upgrade, especially since I didn't have a lot of money, yet I had no problem sending that much on things I didn't need. Like you said, you have to look at what you're getting in return, not just the price. It's no different from investing in stocks.
