what I have learned about google and ranking from observation
Just trying to clear something up for some who may not have gotten what sites, niches, and phrase are really about when it comes to Google ranking.
From what I have observed, the way to get better ranking for your niche is actually the word or phrase you have chosen for your niche. Lets say you spent all this time coming up with a niche for a website.
example: lets say your niche phrase or title is "what not to eat" then its time to make a website out of it. You go and put it together "whatnottoeat.com" ..... Your niche phrase is now your website making it irrelevant.. Now you may have lost your traffic and competition relevance, if you do not incorporate that phrase into a page or post in your website at some point in order to keep that traffic and competition relevance of your niche.
What I'm trying to say is, from what I have observed, it does not matter what your website is called. What really gets the attention of Google for ranking is the phrase or wording you have chosen to implement in your page or post.
Have you not noticed this when you do a search and you see the phrase in big bold above the actual website? Look at all these big companies "Walmart, Nike, Target". You search for something like "how to lose weight". "howtoloseweight.com" is not likely to show up. You may see the phrase in bold and something like tse.read.info or something like that. Something not relevant to the niche.
"If what I'm saying is wrong I must not be looking at web searches the way others do"
Comment to let me know, because no one has explained this concept the way I have.... Jaime

I agree to a point.
I personally do my keyword research which is relevant to my niche (which may not be the niche title or Domain name) and i write according to that keyword.
On all my pages and posts of which there are many, i certainly do not mention my niche title on every page.
The title i choose for a particular page (niche related) is what i focus that pages content on!!
What do you think ?
Thanks
Chris
Yes Chris .. That sounds about right.. Your just basically trying to find a wording or phrase that's a low hanging fruit keyword to implement into your post or page to get the ranking faster with the less comp. with a good amount of traffick no matter if you chose to make a website out of the wording or phrase.. Cause sometimes your niche phrase may be a little long... Jaime
