Ordering Pages in WordPress Dashboard
I wanted to share something that I found today and have found very useful. It is a WordPress Plugin called "Simple Page Ordering" and it does exactly that. It allows you to order your Pages in your WordPress dashboard by a simple drag and drop action.
In the Plugin section of your dashboard there's a search box (top right hand corner). Type in "Simple Page Ordering" and there it is. You can click for more details or click to install.
I have found it very useful - and maybe you will too.

Hi, Julie. Thanks for the info. You can do the same thing in WP dashboard without a plugin. Just go to the menu in the appearance section. you can drag and drop all your pages to whatever order you want, and even create sub-pages. Adding plugins can (not always) slow down your site.

Hello Barry - I know about ordering page in the menu. But (as far as I can see) they are literally for ordering how the menu appears on my published site. I have a LOT of pages as drafts (works in progress) and I find it useful to be able to order them within the Pages section of my dashboard. It's a different use of page ordering.
You are also right to remind us that plugins can low down a site. I'v added two and I monitor my site speed afterwards to make sure it has not been affected.
Thank you for reading and for you input.
