Happy St. Patrick's day from Ireland!
Happy St. Patrick's day from the home of the man himself. Well technically he was Welsh, but came back here with open arms after we enslaved and mistreated him, to change us from our wicked ways.
Whether you are heading to the church (Unfortunately not too many do that any more). going to the parade or having an absolte p*** up at your local pub, I hope you have a great day.
It is traditionally an Irish day but I'm glad you guys the world over like to go out and enjoy it also.
There is a lot of stuff people don't know about the day, so recently I added this post to my website http://whatisinireland.com/just-some-st-patricks-day-fun-facts It's just some fun facts if you want to check them out.
So happy Paddy's day (And it's Paddy not Patty)
or as they say in the native tongue Lá fhéila Pádraig shona dúit (feel free to correct me on those fádás)

I recently had a post today on face book, where it said the change 160 landmarks by dyeing them green for St Patrick,s day.
In the states we celebrate with green beer and cities like Chicago even dye their rivers green. What kind of shenanigans go on over there? :)
Well every town has a parade, the ones in the smaller towns are quite commercial and the ones in the cities are quite artistic and creative. It is the number 1 day for the pub business in Ireland with every pub being edged tight with people and there is a few pubs that only open their doors just for this day each year. The Irish tourist board has persuaded governments across the world to illuminate famous buildings and attractions in green and I think Niagra falls is going to be dyed green today.
I'm just home from the local parade and going to have a few beers later.
Dye Niagara Falls?! Wow, that is quite a feat! I would love to spend an evening in a packed Irish pub. I think it would be an amazing experience :)
It depends on which pub it is, there's a few pubs I wouldn't fancy being in any day of the week, if the locals don't kill you, the booze will lol. Don't get me wrong the majority of places are great.
I was wondering if we'd hear from you today! My rough collie Rosie was born today 9 yrs ago, her posh name is Riiflesea Roisin. Happy St Patricks Day. :)
Sorry I didn't get on sooner I' just back from the local parade and getting some Guinness into the fridge for later lol. Happy Birthday Riiflesea Roisin :) Understandably Roisin is a very Irish name, very appropriate :)
