How does an Affiliate Marketer Juggle?

How do successful internet marketers manage more than one site? Is that the smart thing to do.. spread your opportunities across different sectors or try to find ways to maximize the one site you have? These are the questions I am struggling with now. I have one site built and I am in the process of creating ancillary content that I can use as a free giveaway for signing up to my email list. i've learned that it takes focused consistent energy to keep the content fresh, useful, and relevant just for the one site. In looking back I think I could have picked a more profitable niche but this is something I am passionate about so I definitely plan to continue building it and the community around it.

As I have moved through the trainings, learned some more skills through trial and error, and gained more insight into the online marketing industry, I have gotten other ideas. I even have tested two out by doing keyword research and bought a domain around one of my new ideas. But now what???? How in the world can I manage two sites? Does it just mean that I will have to get up earlier or work later in the night? What have you done as you grew in your online ventures?

I have gotten over the competition anxiety (the worry about others in your niche), I feel like I know how to build useful and SEO relevant content (I haven't found that button you push to make your site go to the top of Page 1 search results though..lol), but how in the world can I manage it? Any insights you can provide is appreciated. Happy Affiliating!

I'm about at the same stage as you. I'm thinking about writing a whole bunch of content (say 10 or 20 posts) for my first site and just leaving it as a draft so that every couple of days I can just publish new content. That should give me breathing space to apply myself to the new site. This is a great question. I'm curious to see what the others have to say. . But I guess I also think slow and steady wins the race. Of course I now realise it's not a race.

Thanks Vicki.....Stockpiling content and then scheduling posts for release has worked well for me. For my one site, I have been doing a weeks worth of posts over the weekends and then release them during the week. If I develop another site I guess I would have to multiply that effort.

Have you thought about tying the two sites together somehow? Churn information from and link them together to maximize your visitors and possible income streams. Just a thought.

Thanks for the response. I didn't think of that but it may not be possible because the two niches aren't closely related. I'll definitely keep your tip in mind as this grows and related niche sites are built. Thanks again

Hey man!
Great post. It reminds me of when I used to be a workout freak in college. I had a lot to juggle, back exercises, chest exercises, arms exercises, and leg exercises. I usually tried to to exercise all of them in one day, each day. Which meant I didn't do ANY of them terribly well. It was too much. But I found that the most successful workout guys would always have "leg day" and "arms day" and "chest day".
Just kill themselves with 1 major category each day, and then pick up the next one.
Successful marketers do the same thing. Work really hard on one website, then the next day work on their second one. You can even write down notes of everything you got done that day so that when you pick the site up next you can remember right where you left off.
That way you can truly focus on one, and then the next day truly focus on the next one, and so on.

Wow great insight! That puts it all in perspective. Thanks for the tip!!
