Question for other WA affiliates.

I primarily joined WA out of interest for the affiliate program. This all seam legit and I plan to promote the hell out of it.
My question to anyone else that is promoting WA is should I build a blog to promote WA directly or build a blog to funnel people to my own list and promote WA from the list?
Seriously stuck on the point and my head hurts.
