Success with YouTube - 25,000 Total Views and some Extra Ad Income!

I'm a big gamer myself, and that is exactly what the niche of my website is revolved around. For those of you that are unaware, YouTube is exceptionally popular with gaming videos - in a sense, it's even more of a go-to place than Google for gaming guides and reviews etc.
Therefore 8 months ago I decided to start a channel with a friend (as I knew I wouldn't have enough time to run it entirely myself). I know many others around my age that have channels, but are clueless when it comes to keyword targeting and therefore receive minimal views.
Luckily I had already had over a year of experience at WA when I decided to start the channel with a friend, so I knew exactly what I was doing with keywords. From 8 months ago till now, we have only made 11 videos, yet we have got over 25,000 total views, 165 subscribers and are receiving hundreds of views a day as it stands. One video is about to hit the 10K view margin!
YouTube can also supply you with a source of income by enabling Google Ads - of course this isn't going to be much, as we all know that affiliate marketing is far more profitable than solely relying on ads, but at least ads are consistent. We're getting a few pennies at least!
This YouTube channel is not linked with my website at all, because like I said, I wouldn't have the time to keep it up and to be honest I find the experience more enjoyable with somebody else giving you a hand. Especially since I'm getting my second site up and running as well, time is limited!
I encourage you to capitalize on the opportunity of video marketing, as it is becoming more and more popular at an exponential rate. YouTube is a great way to attract traffic that you probably wouldn't attract otherwise, which you can then lead on to reviews on your website if relevant. It's up to you!
