Back Links

I just found out the importance of backlinks for Google search that will boost your postings up to higher rankings. Learning how to create good content is the key with hyper-links pointing to a particular Web Page. I also learned that backlinks are important to SEO, because Google considers the quality and quantity of backlinks to determine page rankings.

Although having good backlinks is not all that it takes to get good rankings and search results but it has a big part in your page rank. I also learned that backlinks have been used for cheap boost but Google continues tweaking their search ranking formulas so that they can weed out pages earning their rank through cheap boost.

I have to continue writing to get good content that people want to link, although that is easier said than done. Why, there is writing articles or post and there is writing good content for your articles and post, especially in this age of social media.

Most importantly, I learned that most social media tools use links that are automatically tagged as “nofollow" for Google in order to prevent spammers from using the system as an automated backlinking system.

It is good to create links to pages that is relevant to your postings that are not affiliate links which will give your postings a Google boost in rankings. This is something that I just learned and need to update some of my older postings with backlinks to webpages that does not associate me with income! This can be a great tool that I learned and I wanted to pass it on to my WA family!

WA family if you are familiar with backlinks let me know what you think and if you experienced high rankings with quality backlinks (some not associated with income). That will also help me with my backlinks as well by getting information from my WA family!

I've had websites for years and back links used to be a real pain in the you know what. They were hard work -- but they did pay off if you could get well established sites that had relevance to link to you.
In fact that is one reason I dropped the idea of doing internet marketing for such a long period of years -- it was a lot of work just to keep our existing two businesses "ranking", and folks that had deep pockets could usually outgun you. One business was impossible to rank -- too many national sites.
These days as Jude said below, you should not be wasting your time. If you get some they won't hurt but better to use your time with other things like building out your pages, or going back and revising and adding to existing pages, or looking at how you have or have not worked in good quality low competition keywords into your text.
If you have a subject that people want to find, and you provide the content and keywords on your site -- you will be found. If you build out your site with more content, Google will reward you with ranking better. You do that consistently it keeps Google happy. And it also gives you more chances at addressing more subject and more keywords.

Thanks for the feedback! Someone told me about back links from a comment they made on my site and looked into it and you are right quality key words and good content will pay off! I will keep that in mind especially from all the training that I am receiving from my WA family!

James, thanks for sharing your knowledge. Back links are not as important as they used to be because too many people game the process, as you have indicated.

It is better to provide the quality content that you mention and then people will naturally link to you. It is better to have others link to your site, than for you to link to other sites, except where it really adds value to your post and helps your reader. Make sense?

External links take people away from your site, always bear that in mind.

It is much more important to focus on the WA lessons to master the skill of using keywords.

Having high ranking keywords will ultimately add more to your bottom line than a thousand backlinks.

Thanks for the feedback, Jude and you are right about having quality content and having others link to you rather than you linking to them. I am definitely working on quality content to keep people interested and doing updates as needed! I appreciate your comment Jude!

Thanks for the info...I'm going to look into this!!

Thank you Numsi!
