'You're already doing more than most'

I was having a chat with my flat mate the other day in the kitchen about eating healthily and trying to stick to it. As we all know, this is one of the hardest things you can do of course. It takes major will power and determination and unless you have a real reason/purpose you're never going to stick to it. He said to me 'well, you're doing more than most' and it really hit home with me. What he was saying is that just by trying to achieve something that will benefit me, I am doing more than most people will.

However, it got me thinking that what we are doing here is quite similar. I think it's easy to get on our own backs and be critical. But from time to time it's good to take a step back and realising what we're achieving.

Simply by wanting to be successful and setting ourselves long term goals is doing 'more than most'. Wanting to be successful, pushing yourself out of your comfort zone and jumping into this here at WA surely already makes us to some extent successful?

Most people will just settle for the minimum and that's fine. At the end of the day, if they're happy that's all that matters. And success has a different definition for everyone, for sure.

But I just think it's good to remember, especially in your challenging days. you're doing more than most and you should give yourself a pat on the back for that.

After a good first 2 months here, it's time to pick up the work rate another notch. Let's go get it!
