One Year

Hello, Wealthy Affiliates. It's Christmas Eve 2020 and I am taking advantage of this quiet time to reflect on my year here at Wealthy Affiliate.

Well, today's energy is way different than that of my first day on the platform. This comes from doing the work. But more than that, this comes from overcoming myself as my own obstacle. I didn't want to fully follow step by step instructions. I didn't want to watch one more instructional video for half an hour. I didn't want to learn SEO techniques. In short, at this stage of my life, learning a valuable new skill sucks. You know?

But I did. These days I set the alarm to wake me 90 minutes early. I grab my water, exercise 5 minutes for me, then apply myself at the PC. I write and revise articles. I edit and re-edit videos. I visit my active Affiliate accounts, and I count the results of my efforts. I plan for the next week, the next month, and the next quarter now. I invest in business tools that improve my acumen. I hand out business cards. And, I participate.

With 2 successful campaigns under my belt, my confidence soared. What's funny is, I didn't plan any of this. Wealthy Affiliate did. I attached my initial concept of who I could become to one little link in the description box of a single YouTube video. Can you imagine? [smile] And then I followed through. I followed through for myself. Not for the person some say I am. But for the person that I know I can be. Here's what I want you to do...

1. Stop procrastinating.
2. Develop a growth mindset.
3. Start networking.

I want to encourage you today. Start small. Isn't that better than never beginning your journey? Regularly make these small steps towards success. Believe me, it is okay to succeed... go on...you can do it. And do not become easily derailed. Can't get to the PC? Where is your tablet? Didn't bring it with you? Build your business with your smartphone. Keep going!

Thanks for following me. The new year is promising. Work consistently at building your businesses. And, to the individuals that are way ahead of me... I am inspired! Following you isn't easy. I recognize the work you have put into your businesses to become 6 figure earners. I understand that it did not occur without sacrifice. With a little work...

Big differences occur.
