A Christmas Gift To Myself
I'll be honest, Christmas can be a challenging time for an introvert like myself. There are crowds to contend with at the shopping mall, stressed clients to impress, and financial pressures that seem to pile up.
And on top of all this, I'm not really a 'holly, jolly person' - as much as I'd like to be. I derive joy from the simple things in life. And this means I'm often most content when I'm alone.
But this Christmas, I have made a promise to do two things:
Firstly, to focus more on other people.
I only have one grandparent left (who's not very well at the moment). It just dawned on me that this Christmas may be the last one we share together. So, I would like to make sure it's a joyful day and that she's reminded how special she is.
Secondly, I have decided to give myself a Christmas present this year. And that's a promise that I will back myself more in the coming year. That I will advocate for myself, that I will encourage myself, and that I will take better care of myself.
And this means knowing that I'm worthy. Worthy of a life that's more fulfilling.
That's why I'm here at Wealthy Affiliate. To create a A Life Less Ordinary (I borrowed that from a movie title) - for myself and for those around me.
Merry Christmas beautiful people.
Jake

Ok, Jake. enjoy your time with your family, your grandma! Wishing you all the best of the season of giving! Florentino
Thanks, Jake.
Have a great Christmas with your grandmother and all the best to you for 2020.
Darren :)
Merry Christmas season Jake and spend the day with your grandmother. The only family I have living is 5 cousins who are scattered all over the usa. I wish I had your opportunity to be with just one blood relative. It will make her holiday and yours.
Good luck with all of your online endeavors and much success to you in 2020. Happy Holidays and tell Grandma Mark from WA said hello.
Thank you for the kind words Mark. I know that I'm lucky to be spending Christmas with my extended family (despite how crazy we all are ;)
