Drive-It Day 2018
On Sunday (22nd April) I took part in Drive-It Day with my husband and friends. This is a national event that happens each year in the UK and involves classic car clubs going out in their cars for a road run and, usually, ending up for lunch.
I thought I'd share my day with you as it is something in which I've been able to come involved due to having my own online business. It also gives me the opportunity to share some images of the day which I hope you'll enjoy.
As we are in the UK we are usually dodging rain showers (or onslaughts) but Sunday was a glorious sunny day. We started at a garden centre in Suffolk and drove approximately 30 miles to a restaurant for lunch. Nineteen classic cars and their owners took part and a great time was had by all.
I have added some photos I took but, as you can see, photography isn't quite my forte!!
Below are a selection of the cars on the green at the Dedham Vale Vineyard.
Four Model T cars joined us this year. That's double to number that made it to the 2017 Drive It Day.This is our car outside the restaurant. It was such a lovely day we could have the roof down. I was able to spend a lovely Sunday with some gorgeous cars and lovely friends but, at the same time, was also able to make some money due to the nature of my online business.
How good is that? Pretty Great I'd say.
Keep up the good work and never, ever give up.
Have a wonderful day
Jackie
