My accomplishments here thus far

Hey everyone whats going on? I may be getting seasonally laid off soon, I either am already or will be within a week, I will find out soon. For anyone who reads the previous blog posts I have put within my Wealthy Affiliate page, you must know how extremely excited I am about this lay off, as I will still be supplemented with an income to keep food in my mouth for at least 4 months, and that means I don't have to spend 80 hours a week doing something I don't wanna do (my job outside of wealthy affiliate).

So now I have all 24 hours in one day to commit to my business once I know for sure I'm laid off, and I'm going to use every second of every hour to make sure that I'm not going back to my job that I hate, the one outside of Wealthy Affiliate! With that being said, I'd like to take this time to explain how far that I have come since first joining wealthy affiliate around threeish months ago.

So here is a rundown of the basics

  • Built my own site, now receive comments generally on every post I make
  • Received the rank of 732(as of now) and that's a long way from being ranked 17885 when first setting up
  • Set up various business plans for success
  • Got 100% on every site health category besides publishing frequency, site trust, and site feedback.
  • This one to me is the most important, thus saved for last, gained the confidence and belief that I will become Wealthy, become rich with happiness, and become a better person, and a better person to be around.

The Niche that I am working within is gaming, specifically action, shooters, horror games, survival. I go by the tagline "Videogames with a pulse" for my site

I have yet to receive any money, but I'm not letting that stop me at all, and it doesn't bother me at all, I really haven't had enough time to implement my plans to make money because of how demanding of time for me to give my job is. A lot of people, people who comment on my site tell me that I write very good content, they describe my writing as making them feel like they are actually playing the game as they read my content, that is something that I am very proud of.

My goal within the next three months is to be able to make $400 a month, that would be enough money for me to pay my rent, and with that I would leave my job. I make about $2150 a month with the job I have now, but even though I would be taking a huge pay cut quitting and depending on my work here at Wealthy Affiliate and on my site, $400 a month would give me the confidence and security of quitting my job because I know that my possibility to earn income would be limitless.

For me, I look at the gig like this, would I rather make decent money, add to my savings by making the same amount of money all of the time? The only raises I'm going to get are ones that help keep up with inflation. Or would I rather give my website and wealthy affiliate everything I have, and have more time to work on gaining traffic and making money by quitting my job once I make enough out of my website, with the potential reward of making $10,000 a month within the next three years?

I know its possible to make that much within three years here at Wealthy Affiliate, it only depends on how much dedication I am willing to give, and three years, yes its a long time, but in the long run it really isn't. Most people with jobs like I have (meaning my day job) will be dedicated to the company for 30+ years to see that kind of money, so really putting things into perspective, that's just not worth it.

Anyways, I've rambled on enough about the cause and effect of my three month goal, I would say for my 6 month goal, I'd want to make at least double of my three month goal, so $800 a month!

Thanks everyone for reading and have a great day!

Although you haven't made any money yet, I'm sure it's coming based on the amount of content and traffic you're getting. You inspire me to add more and more content. So, when you're down in the dumps, remember you inspire newbies like myself. Keep up the quality work. Wishing you success and achieving your goal of leaving that job you hate!

Hi Dani. This post was about a year ago. I actually have quit my job, but not because I have an online based income, but actually so that I could focus on affiliate marketing full-time. I have enough savings to last me a long while. I really wanted to give this my full effort. In a sense, I have left the job I hate though!

Thank you for stopping by and giving some inspiration, I really appreciate it!

Awesome plans Jacob, I really wish you the best of luck! Do you mind giving me a link to your website? I'm a fellow gamer and I would love to check it out. :)

Of course, and thank you so much! http://schillingpulsevideogames.com

Thanks for sharing

Love this blog! Very honest and pretty much the same boat I am in right now (except the $400 a month rent)!
I quit my job in September and found WA about a month later. I have been working feverishly, daily, to figure this whole thing out. I haven't made a dime yet but the foundation needs to be there first. I just take the time and go back over all the training to make it happen.
I will be cheering you on in your success.
