You may have started checking out affiliate marketing as a potential new career or because you'd like to supplement what you already make or receive for retirement (or a disability). Rest assured affiliate marketing is one legitimate way you can make money online. And some affiliate marketers make A LOT of money!

But PLEASE do not start jumping up and down with excitement yet. Because as it goes with most things in life that look like they're easy, affiliate marketing is not as easy as it might first appear.

If you begin by trying to figure out how to learn internet marketing on your own you will find TONS of information on the subject. But there is one thing that is hard to find, and that is easy-to-follow steps on how to do it.

So, sadly, most people give up before they even have a chance to really find out if it's for them.

If you're really unlucky you'll stumble on some program that promises you the online world on a platter and ends up not delivering – after they take your money..

There is a lot of power in affiliate marketing once you master the basic skills. And there are a number of skills that need to be mastered.

But First, Can You Do the Following Five Things (Your Prerequisites):

• Follow Directions - Ideally, you can already do some basic things online (and you enjoy spending time in the online world) If you need to learn computer skills you could still do this, as long as you are comfortable with a longer learning curve.
• Take Action Pretty Much Most Days, and Practice, Practice, Practice
• Quit for the Day WITHOUT Giving Up Completely - meaning you are back in the game the next day – if not sooner.
• Ask For Help When You Need It
• Be VERY Patient!
