Learning a lot about health and aging these days
As I educate myself on environmental toxins and how they affect us in so many areas of our lives, I am amazed at how complex the interactions of various factors are. All the vitamins, minerals, exercise, and dieting in the world are not going to avail you the results you want if you aren't considering the whole package. My good friend Peter Greenlaw has just published a new book titled "TDOS Syndrome". It's available on Amazon. It details the interactions of the four elements that are causing our globally deteriorating health. The four factors are: (T) toxicity; (D) nutritional deficiency; (O) overweight; and (S) stress. It is amazing how pervasive the toxins that we are exposed to everyday are. We are all pretty much aware of smog, water pollution, toxic dumping, and such things, but there are so many other less obvious sources. The food we eat, the water we drink, the air we breath are just the surface of the vast array of toxic assaults. Even the packaging of the food and water we consume are affecting us. The building materials, carpet in our homes, and so many other sources we wouldn't normally think of, are detailed in Peter's book.
You can't avoid most of these but you can take measures to counteract them. In today's world, unless you are moving completely off the grid, you can't help but come in contact with toxins every day and they are affecting you in ways you can't imagine. Hi Rick,
You are so right we are literally bombarded on a daily basis with all kinds of toxins. I too have written an article about the danger of Xenoestrogen towards women health.
During my research it shocked me where you will find all the toxins, you have heard or now and then read about it, but when you really dig deeper into the subject it is mind blowing.
Thanks for sharing.
