Hey Andy, this is really powerful information, and it makes a lot of sense!
1) Learn - I have been learning all my life, and it's one of my passions.
2) Apply - This is the fun part, sometimes I spend too much time learning and only apply after a long time, but it's because I am passionate about studying in different fields. Applying the learning is also where you can monetize.
3) Teach - I have been teaching for many years, and I love it. It comes naturally for me to even just give advice. I understand that most people don't like to take advice, and that is one of the reasons why they fail at some things.
Like you I am a life long learner and it can be tough to put everything in action but focus on the niches you want to be known for and teaching becomes natural.
I agree with you whole heartedly! My career was one that I got to do that every day! I was a firefighter/paramedic for 33 years. I had these odd ball emergency calls, not the type the text book talks about. So I would have to think and act in the moment and then I would get to teach people what happened to me and how I had to handle it.
I didn't get to be a Volunteer FF for long thanks to Asthma, but hats off to you for 33 on the JOB.
Thank you! I started as a volunteer for 3 years so counting that 36 years. I loved the profession. It was in my blood. I actually miss it now. I had to retire due to needing a liver transplant.

Hi Andy. Love this post. I definitely learn something new every day. I apply most of what I learn, simply there's just not enough time in the day to apply everything at once. I used to teach all the time when I had my off-line businesses. I tell my family what I learn, and sometimes I'll write a blog post about it, but I wouldn't call it teaching. I know I need to implement that somehow,
Learned knowledge without action is a shame, need more hours in these days.
