Hi WP pro friends ... I am building a website for a very competitive niche and would love some recommendations for a theme that works well for you! My plan is for this site to
Hi,
I recently found a great one and it's name is Fluida. It's highly customizable. Is mobile friendly. I wished I found it sooner. Here is a screen shot so you can see better.
Hope that helps. :)
Debs :)
With apologies for piggybacking this question, thanks for the tip Debs, I’ll take a look at Fluida now.
Best wishes,
Steve.
Thanks for the tip, Deborah!
There are thousands to choose from, so any recommendation is welcome. I'll take a look.
Cheers
Thanks a lot Deb, it looks good in the pic - did you find it among the WA themes offered? Appreciate your feedback and will take a closer look! ✌️
Hi yes I did and its a free theme too. Highly responsive highly customizable too. I really like it a lot.
Debs :))
I've checked this theme (fluida) with google speed test, and I did the same with another (fastest). Both great for desktop, but different for mobile

A fast & responsive theme for a very competitive niche?

Hi, Timo!
Free or paid theme? You have to decide before you start working on the website. Just my 2 cents.
I usually use a theme after I test the demo on Google Speed test and after I check the same demo on my mobile phone.
Free: I'm trying Fastest (By designgrande)
Paid: I'm trying DIVI (By Elegant Themes)
If you buy a theme, they usually have discount coupons that you can google and apply when you checkout. But most developers have affiliate programs. I have no intention of reselling themes and I'm currently not registered with any company (Envato, Elegant themes, etc), but what I offer you is to buy from my affiliate link (I will create one if you want to) and I will cashback 100% of my commision to you (obviously, when I get the credit!). You might save 50%. WIIFM? I will create a post explaining this idea.
Thanks Richard for sharing the themes you are trying! I’ve been checking out Divi since you mentioned it and it’s pretty amazing, plus if our sight lends its self to it - it could make a great affiliate addition. I think it may we’ll be worth the time getting the theme before starting the build. What did you find out with your affiliate idea? Thanks again!
Hi, Timo! I've been too busy to focus on my affiliate idea, hope I'll have some free time next week, as I'm far from my family in Xmas, so I'll keep you updated. Thanks for asking.
BTW, did you choose a theme already?

Calling all WP friends and experts ... I am getting the above question while trying to use a Vimeo Video Link on my website to display a Video. The Vimeo account is set to "emb
Hey Timo,
Yes, I see what you mean. I used the WordPress recommended shortcodes for inserting Vimeo hosted videos without a plugin on my client's website (NOT hosted on WA servers) and it works like a gem.
However, when I placed the text shortcodes on my test website hosted here on WA servers, it does NOT work ...BUT... the iframe option DOES work. See screen print below...
Hope you find this helpful.
Thanks Trish, I appreciate your help , it is sounding like a glitch between Vimeo and WP & I don’t know enough to even get in trouble with this one, but will keep looking. Timo
So... are you saying the iframe code is not working for you Timo?
If so, perhaps you can check with SiteSupport to see if they can shed some light on this issue for you: https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/websites/support
I have tried to find a blog or training for you on WA, I found this by using the search bar up top.
It's not quite Vimeo but there might be something in there.
Have you tried cutting and pasting the embedding HTML code for the video in the text tab on your post that shows you the HTML coding of what you have written on your post?
I have found embedding youtube videos normally works doing it this way rather than the word tab. Embedding Your Video
Thanks, I did try both the link and the code with
Out success- so I will check out the post, thanks again for your research!

I have a business associate looking at WA for website hosting, he currently has about 500 pages within his site... is this to large of a website for WA hosting?
If it's a WordPress site then contact Site Support to see if it's possible to migrate the site to WA. Contact Site Support for Technical Issues With Your Website
Hey Timo,
There is a limitation for sure though it is in MBs not pages.
If you can find the actual overall size of your friend's website that would help.
I can only guess and you need to know for certain, so once you have the size of website your friend wants to move to the WA servers, then it would be best to follow Marion's suggestion of contacting SiteSupport... but ONLY after you know the EXACT size, simply because you don't want to be wasting their time.
Thank you Trish, I was able to find the MB limits by checking my own specs on my website, we will see if we can determine the needs of my friend.
