Musings of a Blogger

If you have an over enthusiastic imagination and know the right qsuestions to ask on a given subject, I'm sure you must have found yourselves on numerous ocassions in the same predicament as myself.

It took me a while to realize that the answer to my search for a niche lay right before my eyes ; the one thing that I was truly passionate about these days . I was so intrigued by it that I had done a good bit of research on it and basically had a chock full of random content already lodged in my brain.

So , I got down to creating a thematic website. While working on it I found myself constantly inspired with ideas for posts. It got to where the one post mutated into multiple posts . Notwithstanding, I would be bombarded with a host of ideas all the time, regardless of where or what I was engaged with. In fear of losing that brilliant train of thought I would drop other things and quickly scribble on whatever was available. It came to a point where no idea board, my cell's notepad nor any amount of notepapers were enough.

Mind you, these happy occurings in the life of an emerging author can easily influence the mind to construe a narcissistic admiration for one's penmanship . One that's not backed by a single draft to one's credit!

This is precisely where I conceded that my ideas had developed a life of their own. It interfered with my progress in my training at WA, besides other things. It is also the one that compelled me to tackle the monster head on. The first step I took was to gather the data in one place, an insurmountable task, I assure you! I prepared myself to approach this malady 'One Post at a Time'. That really defines how I finally managed to draft two complete posts.

Reflecting back on the process , I have to admit that it has not been less than a learning experience for me. I would now like to share it with all of you.

For more on the 'process' of how I got the content written for one of my niches , please watchout for my next blog which will be titled " How to Organize Your Thoughts into an Effective Blog"

Hey there! So glad that you are enjoying the experience. It took me forever to choose a niche (I swear it was the bane of my existence when I first joined WA). To be fair wasting a day writing down different ideas is just as good as doing the training. Pretty sure one of them is to brain storm like 30 topics for posts so that you have an idea for your next posts without spending lots of time trying to come up with new ideas.

But you do need to actually start writing the posts =). I have notebooks next to my computer to write down ideas, I just recently started using google docs so that it will all be saved online and I can access them anywhere. I can't even tell you how many times I have had to spend hours combing over notebooks because I was looking for a particular page of ideas lol.

Keep up the good work. Looking forward to your next post.

Jean

Lol im glad u can relate to this post!
Ure right , brainstorming now should save me a lot of preparation for my next few posts.
on the subject of docs, uve answered a prayer. I was wondering today if there were such a thing that i could quickly put a few ideas on n keeping adding to from anywhere. Instead of havimg to search 'the logs'! Ill surely b looking tht up.

yeah it autosaves everything you put in, they also have spreadsheets you can open. So you can log into it anywhere you can access the internet and have can see what you have been writing its awesome =) https://www.google.com/docs/about/ just click on go to google docs. takes a little bit to get used to it but I find it very helpful. just started using it last month.
