I have been so busy most of my young adult life I rarely slowed down to appreciate the smaller things in life. As my wife and I move into our retirement years, sitting around just is not like me. Don't get me wrong, I like to be lazy just like anyone else. I love to come home to my easy chair, prop my feet up, break open a cold one - cold root beer - or a good brewed coffee is nice too, and just sit resting for any length of time.

However, you can only do that for so long!

Since I sold my small business in December of 2023 I have been trying to find what the Lord wants me to do next (Even though I am a pretty stubborn kind of guy I have always tried to listen and follow what God was directing me to do - many of times leaning on my own understanding instead of following His direction). But what's the next chapter hold for me and my wife of 41.5 years? What's next? What should I do? I can't just sit around the house all day and bother my wife! LOL.

As I pondered this over the last year, I knew I could not, not work at all so my wife and I started cleaning buildings again. (I own a commercial janitorial service for the past 30 years) But this is one reason why I sold my business because physically I just can't do it any more like I used to.

Earning Another Income From Home

Another thought and remembrance was that I used to mess around with Affiliate Marketing years and years ago. I knew then that it was a legitimate business model to earn an income but because I was so busy with my janitorial service I never stayed committed and made very little income. So, having this thought I began search for that online affiliate marketing company I used to be a member of so many years ago. I couldn't even remember their names. But as I did my search on Google I recognized the Wealthy Affiliate name and here I am again signed up as a premium plus member.

I wanted to make an income online while I worked from home or in what ever national state I was in when I first sign up those many years ago and that is exactly what I want to do this time around. I signed up this time on October 30, 2024.

This blog post is my first one as a member and the purpose of these posts will be to chronicle my journey through. Unless the good Lord calls me home any time soon all I have is time so I am wanting to do this thing long term and supplement our income these later days of our life.

That is exactly what I came here to do is to start a home based business online in affiliate marketing so my wife and I can supplement our social security income that no one could ever hope to live on these days or any day. I'm happy to be of age to collect it and I will gladly accept it but have you seen the price of groceries lately!? Wow!

Most young families these days and for a long time now need two incomes just to make ends meet. I have four grown children and they all have children (we have 14 grandchildren) and I can't imagine buying food for those families in todays world. My oldest daughter and her husband have 5 children, can you imagine what their food bill is?

Building an Online Business

This blog will be a time line of my efforts to earn an income online. I want to prioritize my time professionally making time for my family/wife time, church time, activities and earns as well as woking on promoting my website in the proper circles.

So anyway, as I seem to be rattling on, my goal is to write an article in this blog once per week and give somewhat of an accounting of what I am trying to accomplish and or what I did get accomplished for the week. It may be that I find once per week to be a bit too much but time will tell. I hope to add photos and such to help explain things better and be helpful to others. And, if any of you that sign up here at WA under my link or promotion then please let us go though this together and share the journey together.

Since this article is already almost 800 words and it took me an hour to type I am going to sign off for the day since it is already the next day since I began writing this.
