a site search within WA?
In the 3 months since I have activly been a part of WA, I have run into one thing that keeps on coming up. I would like to be able to look at other member's websites. I would like to be able to see real life examples of what people are doing with the training we are getting here at WA. A lot of people post a link to their site in their profile. That is a good thing, which I heartily encourage. When you write a post about your success within WA, I personally find it a valuable part of my education to look at your website and analyse how and why it is doing what its doing, or not doing what its not doing, if that is your comment. We can find new members as they join, and we can find the user names and profiles of the top 200 members, but what about everyone else? I keep finding sites on the internet that seem to be doing quite well, that are built within our community here at Wealthy Affiliate, that I would like to ask people questions about within the context of the educational setting of this site here. If there were some kind of search where you could look it up, that would be hugely benificial...

I agree and would like the same or similar feature.
I've stumbled on websites obviously created by WAers and can't look up who the member is. There's also no way to look up members.
However, when you find a member, they can choose to have their site listed on their profile page.
We also have to consider privacy. Perhaps a member doesn't want to publicly list their site or all of their sites on WA.
It's also a great idea for WAers to post a link to their profile page on WA on the About Me page for their site, but I've seen few that do this. That way when a WAer sees another member's site, they can easily find them on WA and follow them or contact them about their site.
In the end, I would still like a feature where we can search for other members by name or by website, but definitely have the option for members to opt-out or put restrictions for privacy's sake.
WA is a community, like Facebook (but much better).
Facebook allows anyone to search for anyone or any group, but WA does not. Like Facebook, a user may opt to have their entire profile hidden, be partially hidden so only some content is visible, or have it public. Also you can have it so only friends (or friends of friends) can search for your profile.
As a *very* social and community-based site, WA should follow Facebook's method and implement similar tools--just be on top of privacy features and do a better job than FB....

I think I have read that if you type a member name in the question section you can find a member. You could then private message them and ask them a question giving them the option to help or not without giving out their secrets to the world. I agree it is great when I can have a look at what the people who are better at this than me go about it.
