thanks for helping me Mr Hunter 777. But i think this is the technical matter not on my system. If this doesn't work today I doubt if the system will work in 2 remaining days left for me to complete the lesson .I'm too sorry.if i could't make it maybe I have to decide.

Thanks buddy!

When going through the Getting Started Courses Kyle talks about how to add Google Analytics to your site which will tell you all the traffic stats. I believe he talks about it along with affiliates in Course 3 but here is a link to a specific video for Google Analytics I recommend going through the Getting Started Courses before you sign up for any affiliates as they usually check your site for relevance when approving/denying your application. They ask for your site traffic so they can get a sense of how much exposure they will be getting.

Hi Yakitori, I am at the early stages of course 3 where I am instructed to join several affiliate networks, so I guess I will come across your above mentioned lesson soon.

Many thanks

Simon

Do you have an analytics tool? I'm not sure what they are teaching as a premium member, but you will need some type of analytics tool to see how much traffic you are getting.

Hi Amanda, thanks I will look into this.

Hi Guys, I would just like to ask that when you add a post or page to your website do you have to go into quick edit and add anything in the SEO title, SEO desciption or SEO ke

I don't use the quick edit on my post.

No, I usually do that when I’m in the specific post and fill in the details in the All In One Seo Pack box below. It’s easier that way because I can see if the descriptions I add exceed the maximum characters. I leave the keyword box blank.

It’s totally up to you whether you want to use it or not. I prefer to fill in because I care what my post looks like in the preview.

Thanks, so when I have taken keywords from Jaaxy and entered them in sentences and headings on my website posts, people will be led to my site possibly just by entering those keywords in such as Google

I don't have to enter them after pressing the quick edit option and adding them to the SEO parts there?

Yes, that’s correct but that’s if your keywords have low competitions and it’s on the first or second page of Google. If it’s higher than that, the chances your website will be shown to visitors are very low. Most people don’t check up to the 3rd page though.

I remember reading somewhere here someone said that by filling in the SEO parts will help with your site’s ranking, if I’m not mistaken. Don’t quote me on that :-D

Simon, When I add a post or page, I only use the quick edit to turn on the "allow comment" All the SEO stuff I am using the edit. I hope I answered what you need.

Vincent Lee

Thanks, do I also need to add anything to any other SEO part after writing a post with keywords included within it?

I use those keywords as tags to my post and categorise them

I' sure you'll get other opinions, but I never use that and my posts rank just fine. I know of seasoned members here at WA that also do not use this.

If someone goes to a website via one of your affiliate links and then writes down the name of the website and goes back later to make their purchase, do you lose the commission

Simon, It depends on the affiliate. Amazon, for example, uses a 24 hour cookie. Other affiliate programs may be longer. Each affiliate program you join should have an explanation of how their cookie works.

Welcome to WA and I hope you have great success.
Regards, Alex

Hi Alex, thanks for the info, I did think, however, that the cookie in general would last more than 24 hrs. I guess some of them may. I will certainly know what to look for and expect.

Many thanks

Simon

Hey Simon

Affiliate programs will typically leave a little cookie. The retention period of this cookie (how long it will last) will however vary. This is always described in the affiliate terms of the vendor.

Hi, thanks for your prompt reply. This has been a great help!

Great success to you.

Simon

You too Simon :-)
