Motivation
The big question, how do you motivate yourself?. Motivation comes from setting goals, whether big or small, but if they're big ones it's a lot easier to set some smaller intermediate ones along the way, otherwise the big one might seem just a little bit far away. If say for instance, you're building your first website and you're struggling to add content, if you say you'll add one piece of content every day, by the end of the week you will have added quite a bit of content. So,basically, whatever your main goal is, if you set smaller intermediate ones you will be constantly feeling you've achieved something, as well as seeing the main goal getting closer. For instance,if you wanted to be able to run five miles but you think it's a long way, run a mile first, then build it up to two and so on until you reach five miles. Goal achieved. Just an example, but it works.
Best Regards

Hi Dale - don't quite agree with you. Motivation doesn't come from setting goals. The motivation comes from taking action, making progress and ultimately achieving goals. It's easy for people to set goals and then take no action - happens frequently. :) Beverley
Sorry Beverly, but if you have no goals you won't take action because there's nothing to take action for, therefore you need something to motivate you to take action such as, goals. Big or small they motivate you to take action.
Great post. That always works for me to set small goals to reach the bigger goal. Thanks for sharing. Debbie
Nice post, thanks fo the heads up....:-)....for me, when i´m thinking of quitting, i try to remember why i started in the first place....then i´m putting my big girl pants on and go back working on my dream. Wishing you a wonderful weekend!
I think that you are spot on. I think that it is a good idea to make achieving a success as easy as possible. Breaking a big objective down into small bite sized activities works for me and gives me a sense of achievement as I complete each task:) I am sure that I got this idea from Tony Robbins.
