My idea for my income generating niche site - what do you think?
Good afternoon WA folk, I hope you are all getting on great guns with your website projects. I have been following the training here with a ’test’ website and would now like to move on to the real thing. I want an income generating site which is also interesting for me to work on. My idea is a site specifically for the over 50’s, and it has to have humour, I don't want serious. This can cover eg style and fashion, food, psychology, advice, work, sport etc. It is intended to be a blog site. Do you think this is too general? It is attractive for me, as there is a lot of scope for writing about all sorts of topics,and of course I can link ideas with affiliate sites. What do you think? Thank you

If you're over 50, then you understand my reference here to Erma Bombeck. Make us laugh, and you'll have us 50+ folks following you forever. I think it's a solid idea.

Concentrate on helping people in your niche and making them laugh, do research on YouTube, amazon etc for ideas for affiliate ideas to support your site when you monetize it. Good luck !

Hello Amanda, I think it is a good niche. The traffic you can generate is of course the largest generation ever. I do however find it general and would suggest narrowing it down to one or two subjects that you are passionate. Once you get the hang of what is involved in maintaining a site, then you can widen your perspective.
