I know, I am on the right track.
Many of us are on here to be their own boss. But sometimes questions come up like: Did I pick the right niche? Is it too broad? What can I offer to my fellow humans that is of value to them?
I guess the last question is the one haunting me the most at the moment. I feel like I have the right niche. But i am to broad. Well they are all haunting me...
I find writing content for it quite easy and I enjoy it very much, tick.
I do want to help people badly, tick.
My mind is keeping me still small and I am scared, tick.
So, for those of you who don't know my niche. It is self-development/selfhelp.
I want to help people that struggle in life to understand that they have a choice. They can make a change. My website is called whenlovehitsthefan.com for a reason. As a child I always wanted to make the world a better place and somewhere along the road this dream got lost. Since I am now approaching becoming my own boss I have re-ignited this spark.
Is it childish? Perhaps. But It's awesome if I can have a little impact on this planet for the better. Sure, I have planted lots of trees and I buy organic. ( How come they wrap the organic stuff in even more plastic? ) But I still use throw away items and well you know, leaving a legacy behind not a gravestone.
Inspiration = Motivation
Now finding you guys here at WA, was the best thing that happened. I have build a website. I can write a blog post. I can do the SEO thing, not great but getting there. I have started Youtube!
I am posting on Instagram and all these other platform that used to suck me in, they now have become a tool to push my business.
But how can I now serve you guys? My inspiration is there but am I to all over the place? Actually, when I meditate I come across that I want to help men be more in touch with their emotions, and learn to express them in a healthy way. This Idea keeps coming back.
I would love to hold seminars and do public speaking.
I want to create courses and perhaps even write a book. But how. See the small me is back.
Creating content and know one reads it
It is a bit dishartening when you spend hours after hours and the only people that read or watch your stuff is family and perhaps someone from WA.
I can hear myself like a crying baby right now. I know this path isn't going to be easy and I am so grateful that I am doing it anyway. Everytime I started a new "job" I liked it at first, but soon it made me feel empty and lost. I guess I am just a little burned out at the moment. I am also in the process of migrating to Canada and haven't seen my friends in a while. Also I don't speak french and my partner, guess what is form Quebec.
I spend almost 5 days a week on continuing to build my website learning how to be an entrepenuer. In my mind I see myself as a rockstar. Why doesn't everyone join #wlhtf ?

You are a rockstar, so am I, and so is everyone else traveling the path. I feel exactly the same, I know (well I like to think) my content is good and for the life of me don’t understand why everyone isn’t flocking in their droves to access the info lol.
Don’t they know I’m the next big thing?
It sounds like you are very passionate about your niche, and I think that’s what makes it even harder because you want to reach out to people and share.
I have faith in the system, it will come to fruition for you, and for all of us just starting. As Bo is fond of saying Onwards and Upwards!

Sounds like your putting a lot of work in. That's great.
Don't lose track of the reason you started and have a main goal that is broken up into smaller goals.
Most importantly spend time with your friends. Keep your mind fit and strong and never give up until you have reached your goals!

You're on the right track, sometimes the light is just around the next bend.
I can totally relate to everything you say as I too hope to help people but sometimes feel too vague or not specific or important enough.
My belief is that if we just keep plugging away, keep your sights set on the ultimate goal, keep putting out relevant content, eventually everything will start falling into place.

Please don't stop what you are doing.... I found your site through Site Comments and immediately I signed up for your newsletter, and I shared your website link on my twitter, and the organisations you blogged about, I shared them too. What you are doing is exactly what I'm looking for.
I was feeling the same as you about my website... but over the years I have been building up a large following on facebook and LinkedIn, and a lot of people there know me from various festivals and what not. I started posting links to my posts there, and people are actually sharing my posts. So I'm feeling that its worth trying for you too. Build up large social media followings, and link with other people doing a similar thing, and I know for certain that your message will be shared.
Its just what we need right now.
