Another milestone in my WA journey - I just became a certified commentor.

I have since I started read many blogs about comments. So today i want to remind everyone about the best practice of giving Quality Comments recommended by WA.

When I started out I had enough with keeping up with the training and my first comments were low quality and rejected. So after I learned about the best practices I try to do my best to give you a good comment on your article. Even if I have no clue about the topic.

Nothing is more frustrating than getting comments that talk about another product or give you feedback on your website instead of a comment. I just experienced it the other day.

Personally I am now disapproving :

most generic comments and feedback comments.

If i have asked for a question and get a low quality generic opinion in return you will be disapproved.

If you show that you have not read the article by talking about a totally different product

You can all do better in giving eachother good quality comments. Agree?

I do not want to disapprove anyone, but lately there have been a lot of very low quality comments.

SiteComments Tip #1: Make Your Comment 100% Relevant to the post

When you are using the SiteComments platform, your goal is to add to the dialogue of the content and to be highly relevant to the content within the post.

If the post is about "how to lose weight fast online", then your comment should be about this exact topic. Ask a question about losing weight fast, offer insight into your experiences within the topic, share an opinion on the subject matter, even do some research and provide some interesting data you find online in respect to your findings.

And make sure you read or at least scan the content of the post. If you don't, then it is going to come across and be very obvious in your comment. The key is to offer quality, you don't need to be an expert on the topic, you just need to engage in the topic itself and leave a good comment.

SiteComments Tip #2: Be Thorough With Your Comment

Remember, the goal here is to add value to overall dialogue on someone's website. Read their post, then make your comment based on the material that you read and try to be as thorough as possible with your comment. A comment that is 2-5 paragraphs in length is ideal.

Something that can help is asking questions, sharing relevant experiences you have had, or offering your opinion on the subject. These can all be effective methods that will naturally lead to a much more thorough comment.

Remember the better the comments you offer to others, the better the comments you will receive in return (and the higher your rating within the SiteComments platform).

SiteComments Tip #3: Don't Offer Design/Grammar/Site Feedback

Don't confuse the SiteComments platform with the SiteFeedback platform. You are offering people and engaging comment on their post, you are not critiquing their website. Comments like "nice site, you should fix your design, you have a spelling error, your theme is good, etc) are not appropriate.
