[REAL PROOF] The Page Speed Impacts Rankings

Since the time Google has released the core update in May 2020 I'm seeing the constant drop in my traffic and of course, I'm worried.

And that even when each article on my website is unique (not sure what Google thinks about it) and is at least 1500 words long.

But today morning I saw a huge drop in the number of impressions and I feel it's time for me to dig deeper into the real reason behind the significant drop in the traffic.

I used to ignore this new tab on the left navigation called "Core Web Vitals".

Not sure why Google gave it such a difficult to remember term but it's basically a screen that shows all your pages that are loading slow.

I was shocked to see that as many as 58 pages on my site are loading slower and I never cared for it.

Even the training here at Wealthy Affiliate puts a major focus on the page speed, probably I started ignoring it for the last couple of months for no reason.

So my first task in the upcoming days is going to be to improve the performance of the pages that Google thinks are loading slower.

I am not saying this is the only factor that has impacted my rankings, but I think it should be certainly my first task at hand.

I suggest you take a little pause and just take a look at this one of the important metrics for rankings called "Page Speed".

Google PageSpeed Insights is the best way to test your website speed.
