Ever thought of how many different types of affiliate marketing niches are available on the internet?

I tried my best to break them down and came down to four types that cover almost majority of the affiliate marketing niches.

The first thing that you need to do in order to get started with affiliate marketing is to determine the niche that you will like to promote.

It is crucial that you do this step right and take your time to do good research on the product and your chosen audience.

Good market research will help you to determine whether your product is worth promoting or if you will be better off promoting something else.

Here are the four major types of affiliate marketing niches to get into this year:

1. Evergreen Niches

Evergreen niches are product categories that can be sold all year round to a large.

For example, people from all over the world want to lose weight all the time, therefore this could be a really good niche to get into.

Now do keep in mind that this niche may already be saturated with competition and could be a bit difficult for a complete as a newbie unless you already have a following or an amazing marketing strategy that will put you above the competition.

Other evergreen niches are health, fitness, internet marketing, acne, dog training, dating, finance, self-help, etc.

2. Seasonal Niches

Seasonal niches are product categories that can only be sold within a certain period of time or to a certain demographic.

For example, if you get into the Christmas tree and décor niche, you will only be able to make good sales between the months of November to January.

There are many other seasonal niches out there.

Some of those niches are:

1. Halloween
2. St patrick's Day
3. Fathers Day
4. Christmas

3. Trends

This is one of the best ways to make good money online and do it fast.

A trend is a certain product or service that is quickly becoming or has quickly become popular.

Many internet marketers have been able to generate large amounts of money by catching a trend during its beginning.

Trends can be very profitable for affiliate marketers, but you must know how to identify them early.

Use tools like google trends or other similar software and keep an eye on social media to identify them.

4. Viral Products

These are products that gain overwhelming amounts of popularity within a very short period of time.

These viral trends can last for as little as a month to as long as a year.

A good example of a viral product is the famous fidget spinner.

These little toys gained wide popularity within kids and even some adults.

Catching a viral product in and promoting it during its infancy, can like winning the internet lottery.

One quick way to find out if you have a marketable product is to look for some competition.

If other marketers are already promoting your product or products similar to yours, it could mean that there is money to be made within your niche.
