I say PEOPLE

my very first thought when I read your title was gravity,.. however it comes down to balance, and straight thinking... we all have priorities, choices and responsibility .. My family are the most important people in the world, then my friends, we need money to be able to live.. but most of all I owe all this to God for without him I would not have existed and that is just my personal belief.. Each person has their own reasons etc

I think its both but I think primarily money makes the world go round first because it becomes the source of most of our basic and personal needs getting met. I think the problem with helping people and possibly not getting anything back in monetary value is often the person is not offering up a part of themselves that people in return would value and gain the trust of another.

Money is a means, not an end in itself! For sure, helping people and making the world a better and more stable place for everyone, is a worthy end in itself!

Some thoughts: No one in their right mind would claim that money is not an essential part of living, but the problem begins when some people turn it into an all consuming goal that warps and changes their personalities and their way of relating to others in the process! To be truly human, we need to be compassionate and understanding of what constitutes "value" in one another! "Render unto Caesar........."

What usually happens is most people always ask the wrong questions, so you ask "what makes the world go round", but maybe ask this instead
"What makes your world go round" and the answer to that is simple
It is your choices - you can choose to bend over backwards for everybody all the time and you will get people taking advantage of you as long as you keep bending over backwards, or you could chose to build your own business because that is what we are here to do.

I like helping people to but there is a difference between helping and teaching people and becoming a doormat for all to walk over
There is no point bending over backwards if at the end of it you don't have what you want in life
All people lives are an outcome of their choices, so choose wisely my friend and remember it's the questions we ask that matters not the answers we get, choose the right question and you will get a different outcome and answer

I like making money, I enjoy making money, my late brother used to say I love money. He was wrong. I like the doors money opens for me: first as a woman, the sense of independence and empowerment it gives me; secondly it gives me the ability to rescue my loved ones when they are in a fix. My biggest frustration is not being able to assist those close to me because I have no money. It gives me a sickening feeling deep down inside me.

I think people make the world go around, but drat, we need the money, to keep going around.

God makes the world go round and money is only necessary for people, who are pretty much just a nuisance.
