What amazon looks for in an affiliate site. Thought i'd share this to benefit others.

Some people set up their website to like a store, which is basically a product image, copied description, price and nothing else. This is what I meant 'store approach'.

The problem with this type of website is that it doesn't provide any value to the visitors, they might go to amazon directly and find what they're looking for.

Besides, it won't rank because it has no original content, and most luckily won't be accepted to the program after making 1st sale. It appears that amazon has raised quality standards.

From reading this forum I have noticed that one of the things they're looking for is what a website would look like if they remove all advertising including product description and price. If there is nothing left, they'll say, Thanks, but no thanks.

This gives a rather clear picture of what Amazon expects from an affiliate site. Thanks for sharing!
