Good post my friend. My mother and I were just talking about this today. It's sad that when you read a newspaper you see so many grammatical and spelling mistakes. I said to her that time was when an editor would check each article and throw it back to the writer to correct any mistakes. Back in those days, there weren't too many mistakes to correct because the writer took pride in his craft and did his own proof reading before sending it to the editor for approval. So true. There really is no excuse for bad writing as we have all the tools we need here. Ancient Greek was written without punctuation marks... English is not.
