I created a second website and when I went to transfer it over to a domain I just purchased I accidentally switched my old website to my new one. Is there a way to reverse wha

you will need to talk to sitesupport for them to try and reverse the action
find them in the help center - sitesupport
good luck getting it sorted out
phil

Thank you I contacted them as well.

i tink they do need an unmove button....

It's called restoring from a backup ;-)

ah...but what if you want the old moved site back.....

You can go to the website that it was just moved to and click on the move button and select the domain name that it was moved from accidentally.

Where this would fail, requiring a restore from a backup, is of you moved a website in the wrong direction completely. I.e. You purchase a new domain name and it has a fresh install of WP on it, then you move the fresh WP to the old website. You are then unable to use the move button to move it back/undo the action, as the old website now has a fresh install of WP.

But if you have two live websites and register a new domain name with a fresh install of WP on it, but you move the wrong live website to it, then you can use the move button to move it back, then use the move button on the correct live website to move it to the new domain name.
