How to Write an Article Quickly and Painlessly

I'll tell you what I just did, to write an article the easy way.

I entered my keyword into Google. Then, I opened each of the first 7 real results, in a new tab.

Then, I rewrote the first paragraph of each of those 7 pages, in my own words. Adding thoughts or comments, as appropriate to my site. Or, sometimes what I saw there just sparked an inspiration for a paragraph.

And it worked! And it was fast.

See for yourself...

You're website is really impressive, I really enjoyed looking at it :) good luck for the future!

I sometimes do the same thing just to see if it sparks a new idea.

It's always wise to keep an eye on competition, for inspiration, new ideas... though, you'd be better writing original content, spun articles will only harm your website.

Very wise counsel.

Thank you Veronica :) spun content is still bad for SEO even when the plagiarism checker says it's 100% original!

Hi iZED,

Thanks for your comments. I agree, about plagiarized or spun content. Not a good idea.

But it was really worthwhile for me to look at the top sites for the keyword, and then launch off of their content and ideas and pictures and headings, to create original content of my own, in my words, my own voice, and appropriate for my site.

Hope that helps clarify,

P.S. I've slightly re-written my post to reflect these thoughts now. Thanks.

That's better Greg and here's some tips: once you settle on a keyword, go ahead and see how authoritative websites in your niche are handling it, look for missing or outdated info for example and build on that. Take notes and structure your article (headers/subheaders) before you start writing from scratch.

Hi. Thanks for your input, it was useful. I went and looked at/skimmed your article, but I was not looking for a dissertation on Plagiarism.
