4 Months and Counting
I have now been a part of the Wealthy Affiliate training program and online community for 4 months. During this time I have learned how to build a website and carry out the necessary SEO.
My website http://residualincomementors.com now has 24 posts and 23 pages completed, along with 256 comments. Some pages are ranked on page one of Google and some are well lost in the ether.
To date I have not made any referrals, however I believe that this it is only a matter of time before this statistic changes.
My point is: during my time with WA I have set goals and hit them. I have set goals and missed them. I have worked hard day in day out. I have been totally fed up with the entire proceedings and done nothing for days on end. Suffice to say its been a roller-coaster ride.
However I have never ever felt like quitting and throwing the towel in. My website is coming together nicely, admittedly it should have more content and posts on it, but that is down to me. Nobody else.
At present I have a website that is beginning to be ranked. Things will happen from this point onwards.
I personally need to do more. More posting, more learning and more with the community. I intend seeing you guys in Vegas - A lot of work needs to be done, but what a challenge.
It all comes down to quality content - Just Keep On Posting. WA is the best thing on the internet. everything about it is well thought out and well structured. Despite all my trials and tribulations and my spats I'm in this for the long haul.
See you guys in Vegas

Hey Mark, great post.. It's good to see people having down days.. not good for you but I think a very important post, especially for people to see it's not just them... I'm at a loss as to what to put into my website.. I think I am over thinking it.. going to continue on Lesson 6 and see what to do next, and hope the massive task of creating a website has a starting point after the naming!

Hi Em - Down days are part of the process. I think its good to share and let people know your progress. As you say I think it helps others to know they are not alone.
One thing is for sure its only a matter of time
Don't be at a loss to write something. Just write what comes into your head and sooner or later you will build a website one post at a time

Hi Sade - I suppose we all feel down at times. The problem with Affiliate Marketing is we all think its a get rich quick scheme. I was certainly guilty of that. However I've learned its a steady process of learning and posting. It will happen, but there is a finite amount of time required.
Keep your chin up and keep on posting

Took a look at your site - looks great! It has improved a lot since last time I looked at it. You have been working a lot with the site. You should feel proud of yourself.
In January, I started a new job - for 6 weeks I did nothing with my site. To see yours makes me inspired. I could have been there. I will soon :) Keep up the good work! It will pay off.
Hi Marie - Always good to hear from you. Let me have your URL and I'll pop over and take a look. The old 9-5 (job) has to come first.
Thanks for your inspiring words
Keep on posting

Great post Mark! Keep at it and eventually you will succeed indeed. I have the same case like you also whereby I am still searching for my first referral. Traffics are picking up but still no conversion. Maybe I need to do some tweaks to improve my conversion chance I guess. Your posts are of great quality and I have no doubt that you will start to reap what you sow soon enough.
