I've seen a lot of new members ask about the value of Pinterest as a search engine.
I thought I would just put this out there to show the power of it.
I created a pin for my recipe site and set it live about 7/8 minutes ago, as of this moment I have had 1.4k impressions, 21 seconds of view time (It's a video pin) and 6 people have saved it, plus I have had 3 clicks on the URL, all within 10 mins of going live.
