New to WA and online blogging

I'm about 4 days into the training and am in the midst of creating my site. I don't know how to do some things like add in a footer, and I definitely know NOTHING about how I am supposed to link products to my reviews so people can purchase through my site as an affiliate. I'm trusting this information is soon to come because there's a lot of products and services that I would like to promote on my site and that my blog readers will be happy to buy. I'm chugging along with content and learning WordPress...which has taken me more time to learn than I'd like but I'm getting there...

Welcome to WA and just follow the training step by step and ask a lot of questions and take notes just so you have something to refer back to.

Welcome to WA! It will all come about in time. No race take it nice and easy and it all comes together. You have done great to get as far as you are in 4 days. Good for you. Make it a great day.

Thanks Carol! I'm pretty pumped because it's a project/website I've been kicking around for a couple of years. I'm ok learning as you go but I also get a little antsy with all the ideas flying around, so I try to write them down and try to realize, it's one day at a time.

this can help make adding headers and footers easy.

this can help you add forums, although you might find you like others better.

Let me know if you have any questions-I'm sure you'll get a lot of suggestions here :)

Thanks! My plan is to provide online coaching for handling discrimination complaints involving service dog and other animal users. I also will be referring people to lawyers. I have a separate section that is where the person can directly complain to me and get help, but I know people sometimes like sharing their stories with other service dog users and getting feedback that way. The downside to that is that the Internet often gives back bad legal info, so I wouldn't want other members giving legal advice, but practical advice and handholding is ok.

Also, I think people would have fun posting pics of their animals and sharing, and it might be a good way to get good traffic and engagement. It's not on the frontline of my to-do list, but something I'm thinking of adding after I have the basics going.

I want to add a discussion forum as a feature of my website where website members can post and ask questions. I know this is heavy in admin but I'm capable of handling this. Is this something doable with WordPress? I'm new and still finishing my training modules.

You will learn how to add a post for comments and feedback in your training modules

I also am new and going through the course but I also want to implement a forum on my site so I have looked around for plugins. If you got to your website admin, under the plugins tab, click on "Add new" and then in the search bar, write forums, you will find a whole array. Go through them and find the one that best suits your needs. I hope my answer has at least pointed you in the right direction. Wish you lots of luck and don´t doubt contacting me for help or just to say hello!

Hi Rich, I got some help on this issue. I'm looking for a community forum where members can post, not just post in the comment sections at the end of a post.
