how do I get a ranking on google?
Getting ranked takes time! You have to work on your site for a time being before rank starts to come - it's like 'establishing authority', ie Google then knows that you are worth of rank.
Other things like some on page SEO (keyword use and internal linking) are taught in the lessons. I recommend you do them in order, but here are some lessons:

To answer your question best - That's exactly what this place was designed for. I was struggling with running an online business because I had no idea how to do so properly.
One of those things was ranking in Google. I knew that Keywords were needed, and writing articles with the keywords in it were needed. Still wasn't working.
