Wisdom from the Words of billionaire 'Jeff Bezos'.
In 1997, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos wrote his first letter to shareholders which quickly gained popularity and become an annual publication filled with knowledge that everyone was looking forward to.
This week, he just published his final letter.
Bezos is stepping down from the CEO position later this year and will continue as an executive chairman.
Here’s an excerpt of what the richest man in the world said in his final letter:
“I have one last thing of utmost importance I feel compelled to teach. I hope all Amazonians take it to heart.
Here is a passage from Richard Dawkins' (extraordinary) book The Blind Watchmaker. It's about a basic fact of biology.
"Staving off death is a thing that you have to work at. --- More generally, if living things didn't work actively to prevent it, they would eventually merge into their surroundings, and cease to exist as autonomous beings. That is what happens when they die.".
I would argue that it's relevant to all companies and all institutions and each of our individual lives too.
In what ways does the world pull at you in an attempt to make you normal?
How much work does it take to maintain your distinctiveness?
To keep alive the thing or things that make you special?
We all know that distinctiveness – originality – is valuable.
We are all taught to "be yourself."
What I'm asking you to do is to embrace and be realistic about how much energy it takes to maintain that distinctiveness.
The world wants you to be typical – in a thousand ways, it pulls at you.
Don't let it happen.”
This was the final thought in Bezos’ final letter - don’t let your life become normal. Maintain your distinctiveness, your originality.
Oh, how I love this!
The hair on my body rose while I was reading this.
All my life, everyone has told me to be normal…
And all my life, I’ve fought against being normal!
But I had this strong feeling inside of me that I want more than a “normal” life.
“Normal” is waking up every day without energy and spending ⅓ of your life working a job that you don’t care about.
“Normal” is struggling with finances and making just enough to get by.
“Normal” is never fulfilling your true potential.
We are the highest form of creation in the universe (as far as we know)...
So you shouldn’t waste your potential by aimlessly drifting through life while constantly struggling and being unable to do what you WANT to do.
Every single person deserves to live their dream life.
If you too want to break out of “normal”...
And if you too want to fulfill your dreams and achieve the freedom to enjoy life on your terms…
TRY WEALTHY AFFILIATE TODAY AND BE GRATEFUL TOMORROW.
