"Our Feet, Our Book of Life"
Except for the fact that our whole body is reflected in our feet, everyone knows about Reflexology, Our life is also reflected in those precious assets we call "FEET".
From that first proud step we take by ourselves as a baby, our feet take us further in life and they become "Our Book of Life". Those baby feet are beautiful and soft, no calluses, no bunions, no cracks, no crooked toes...These imperfections start showing after that first step and the conditioning we get along our path through life. Our early conditioning started with... "do not go there, don't touch that, be careful" etc... First by our parents and family, later by our teachers and church and later still by our employers, colleagues, society, politicians and even our friends and spouses. This is when our feet take us in different directions even if they are not the directions we want to take..
Children dance and run through life, they are light on their feet because the don't carry any burdens around with them. Old people shuffle through life, they carry the burdens of the past with them which makes it more difficult for them to "go forward"in life. I just want to mention that I'm talking about the average person... I'm very well aware of the fact that there are children who carry heavy burdens and older people who dance through life, and it will show in their feet!
Have a look at your feet, what is your first thought, how do you feel about them? Now, write those thoughts and feelings down on a piece of paper starting you sentence with; My feet are... don't try to analyse, just write down whatever pops in your head. Your next step is to change the words "my feet are" with "I am"... Do you see where I'm going and are you understanding what it's all about? Did whatever you wrote about your feet reflect how you think and feel about yourself?
