A Quick Facebook Marketing Guide (continued)

First, a quick recap...

  1. Don't SPAM friends and family... or anyone else, for that matter.
  2. Use content to position yourself as an authority in your niche.

OK, we're not SPAMMING people and we're establishing ourselves as an authority in our niche... so where does that take us?

When you post truly valuable content on your FB news feed, people are going to naturally wonder "Who is this person?"... right?

What will they naturally do? They'll click on your name to see what you are all about!

So here's the next tip...

Tip #3 - Your business account needs to be set up to funnel the curious to your website.

How do you do this?

Two ways...

First, continue to post valuable content on your FB page... you should be doing this every day.

Second... create a FB cover photo that encourages viewers to check out your website.

Here's an example...

And here are the steps on how to use your new FB Cover image...

1-You post your FB content in a FB group related to your niche... in this case, a famous quote image.


2-After viewing the engaging content, the viewer wonders "Who is this guy anyway" and clicks on your name...


3-This in turn opens your on FB page where they can view even more of your valuable content. The viewer sees your cover photo image and device to click the "learn more" button. (Understand that this is not actually a clickable link... it actually just opens the image description)

4-At that point a new window is opened on FB displaying your image and the image description in the sidebar. This is where you can place even more information and whatever link you wish to display. This link could be to your website or blog... to your WA affiliate link... or to an optin page where you gather their contact information and, in turn, deliver your follow up message series.

Do I have all of this set up myself... not yet, but I am working diligently toward that end.

Tip #4 - Utilize The C.L.A.M. Method

OK... I've laid out a method to gather leads for you Wealthy Affiliate business.

I want to emphasize that this is only ONE METHOD. There are lots of ways to market on Social Media, especially Facebook, and NOT be caught up in SPAMMING!

Use your imagination and creativity... look at what other marketers are doing as well.

However, once you have generated a lead, I suggest that you follow the C.L.A.M. Method!

What's that?

In a nutshell, you use C.L.A.M. to develop a what I call a Know-Like-Trust relationship with the other like-minded online marketers.

People will not do business with total strangers very often... they need to know you, like you, and trust you first.

That's where the C.L.A.M. method comes in...

Here's what it stands for...

Comment - Like - Add - Message

When someone engages with your content by liking or commenting on your posts, continue to carry on the conversation.

Return the favor by commenting on their posts, "like" their posts, and then send them a friend request to "Add" them as a friend.

Once they have answered your friend request you will have an opportunity to send a message. Thank them for accepting you as their FB friend... carry on an actual conversation. You're still not ready to present WA yet.

They might share their business or products with you, but just say that you're not looking to join any other opportunities at this time, but you will bookmark it for future reference... you might run across someone that would be interested.

Once you have really generated a friendship, then it's OK to message them about WA.

Ask the Right Question...

Don't be pushy... NO Hype... Look for a problem that Wealthy Affiliate can solve.

You might ask "Would you be interested in some free training that would help you build your business?"

Another question might be, "Would you be interested in learning how to build a free website for your business?"

Think about the benefits they would get from Wealthy Affiliate... maybe ask, "Have you ever thought about content marketing to generate leads for your business?"

If you are not promoting Wealthy Affiliate, think about some questions relating to your niche.
