WA progress
My name is Glenn and I joined Wealthy Affiliate in May of this year. I can't remember how I found out about it but I decided to look into it. Since the membership was free, I thought it would be a good way of finding out more and work my way through it, while gaining some writing experience. As I went further into the program, I gained confidence that WA was the real deal and that I was not going to be wasting my time.
My progress has not been what it should be. I thought I would have gone been further along at this time but in early June, I found myself taking on a greater load at work with new duties. This has slowed my down greatly because I am forced to concentrate most of my time at my work. But I have not given up. I have merely been slowed greatly, but I haven't stopped and have nearly reached the end of stage two.
I have decided to write about the fitness industry because fitness is one thing I can relate to. Althought I am not as enthusiastic about fitness as I once was, I have a fair amount of expereince to know what works well (at least for me).
Although I haven't made the progress I would expect from myself, I have stuck with the program and I value the new things I have learned using the WA platform, and I believe these new skills will eventually pay off. It's just a matter of sticking with the program and I do have faith in this program as their seems to be so much opportunity. I can't wait to learn more of what lies ahead in stages 3, 4, 5, and 6.
In the next 3 months, I hope to improve my writing skills and move through the next 2 levels. Right now, I am dissatisfied with my writing as it is very one dimensional and must learn new ways to make a compelling piece. This is something I will try to add to as I move up through the next few levels.
In the next 6 months, I expect to become a better writer through example and by experience. It is about 8th grade level right now but I believe that by editing and re editing and refining, will improve. Thiis does take more time but an excellent piece can pay off far more than one which was hastily written which makes no impact. I have read copy in the past that came into my email, read it, and found that the copy from expert writers was way too long. People don't want to read though pages and pages of repititious copy, trying to prove their claims while draw in paying membership. I have found this to be a disappointment, and often scroll all the way down just to find out the cost,( followed by reviews of the product).
There is no glossing over a product or service that doesnt get results. I also hope to interact more with the WA community and contributing to the success of others by adding my input.

thank you for sharing.. sometime we do get bogged down with other stuff, but that is life you just need to refocus to where you want to be.....wishing you well and you writing is fine...
Hello Glen,
Firstly, thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts. I think a lot of people can/will relate to what you have written.
With regards to your progress, I am in the same boat - workwise, in the last week some unexpected stuff came up and this threw me off course. But, I don't beat myself up about it. I have given myself a target of at least spending the minimum of 1 hour per day - at least that way I am still moving in the right direction. It is just maintaining that 'discipline'.
I totally get what you mean about improving your writing skills/copy. But I must say that what you have written in your post show me (and I am no expert), that you can definitely get your message across and your thoughts kept me reading! I am sure some of our more experienced colleagues on WA will be much better able to advise you!
I feel the same about WA, it is the real deal and the people on here are amazing. You can practically ask anyone anything and they will respond, which is so cool.
My friend, I truly wish you and everyone on here continued success in your/their journeys.
Please feel free to reach out any time if you want to chat.
Best,
Aman
Congrats on your progress, Glenn. I gotta tell you that I didn't see anything wrong with your writing style, grammar, punctuation, or spelling, and I'm very picky. Worked as a proofreader, sometimes wordsmith for Ken Blanchard for about a year, and I guess habits formed on the job with a red pen remain! Don't be so hard on yourself, my friend. Just keep on doin' what works for you.
