How do you become SEO friendly? with BIG GOOGLE! Loosing heart and faith here!
So I have this nice shiny website with my own domain name etc, trying to post a game review every day, having to convince my partner that it is all worth it, the expence, my time away from my partner and family while I am on the laptop doing research etc, and then only to find out that really I shouldnt have so many affiliate links on my posts, as It will affect my Google rating!??
OMG so how are we supposed to sell the items we post and blog about if we cant use affiliate links to sell them? Look I don't expect an over night money sensation, but without affiliate links, how am I supposed to suport this as a living, and not just something for me to do in my spare time?
Technicly I am actually paying for myself to work here! Now would you really go to work, and pay your boss? I really can see where my partner is coming from here! I need to find more answers to Her questions!!
Sorry for a downer blog today people, but can't really see teh light at the end of the tunnel anymore, and can't really justify paying $47 for something that isn't generating ANYTHING.

huge difference here is that you are not paying your boss. this is not a job. you are investing in yourself and your business. the reason behind pursuing an online career is to be able to free yourself from the constraints of regular employment.
$47 per month to build a business?? thats pretty cheap. Most brick and mortar businesses will have you working 3+ years before you turn a profit.
Yes google doesnt like to many affiliate links in your posts but it doesnt mean that you cant use any. I also hope you are in some way collecting emails because you can and will make money from your list.
Just stick to it. who knows, your first site / niche might not actually be the best one you ever do. might not make money or it could turn out to be a huge success.
If you are in the gaming niche then this is very competitive. You have to be able to stand out from the crowd and the crowd is very large in this niche. Not impossible so good luck.

I had wondered that and whilst watching one of Jays webinar he did say google are not so concerned about the affiliate links but more as to the quality of your content, the difference learning here and working towards a full time income is that you are the boss put like this say your paying for a college course would you say why am I paying for this and getting no financial gain,, paying to be part of WA is for the education, resources and support to build a business up, I used to help people setup small businesses and the reality is most business either fail, break even and few sometimes make a profit.
When I set out to do this I felt and still do that it is a excellent opportunity to build a business without the same pressure and financial constraints of starting up a brick and mortars business, lets face it for the amount it costs each month you could easily spend that in one night out for a meal and a drink. Not every one gets making money from the internet and I can understand it, this can be done not sure how long you have been here but I hope you can see the bigger picture
I can see where you are coming from, but still need to see some results from all the hard work put in?
perhaps this will help you feel a bit more encouraged. The Work Results Delay
Yes that does drive home the point, thank you for that. Regards Glenn.
